Let me introduce myself.
My name is Sonia Colonna, and I have been an Esthetician and Makeup Artist for more than 18 years. I often sit and think to myself what has made me who I am today, the love and support I have from my family and to wholeheartedly love what you do. To me it’s a gift! I grew up in a family business,where I have learned so much…Respect, dedication, love and sacrifice. As a young girl having to go to work with my parents because they sacrificed everything for myself and my two brothers. My parents have taught me the value of life,always believe in yourself and never be afraid to take action. At 24 years old I had a vision and I went for it…I opened my very own business called Sonia Day Spa in Hamden Connecticut. Sonia Day Spa was a dream come true for me, nothing is more rewarded than making people feel and look their absolute best, it truly brings joy to my heart.
Sonia is educated in all aspects of skincare and uses only the finest quality products offering a comprehensive menu that covers an array of extraordinary therapeutic and corrective services including facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and indulgent body treatments.
Let’s fast forward a few years…I got to marry the man of my dreams and I am so grateful and proud to have him in my life and call him my husband. He has taught me the simple things in life and to enjoy every moment. Italo has been an amazing supporter, he sees the love and passion I have for this business. As life keeps going we were blessed with three beautiful children, my sweet Giana, my sassy Loredana and my wild boy Alessandro. They have changed our lives and have put a different perspective on life! I wear many different hats on a regular basis but it honestly doesn’t feel that way, maybe because it just comes naturally. I am enjoying every moment and grateful to be present and have a purpose!!
After 9 years of owning Sonia Day Spa, I decided to sell my business. I knew that my journey wasn’t over yet and everything happens for a reason. There wasn’t one day that went by that I didn’t think about my business, so that’s why I am proud to be back under Blush Skin and Body Boutique. Welcome to my journey and I am happy that you will be a part of it. I am excited to bring newer and better things and to extend my talent and dedication into your hands.
